At Colégio Itatiaia, the transition from Early Childhood Education to Elementary School is smooth. At all times, we provide students with the conditions to experiment, create, build and express themselves freely.

At Fundamental Itatiaia we contemplate:
Extracurricular activities: excursions and outings with the aim of improving children’s acquisitions and the educator’s pedagogical work;

Our unit will provide new experiences and learning possibilities based on an effective educational proposal that takes advantage of the tradition and culture of a historic building measuring 3,300 meters.
In 2021, Colégio Itatiaia decided to rethink its entire elementary education project, focusing on moving to a new address – a property with lots of green space, culture and historical value in the Bela Vista region – and expanding to elementary school II from 2023 onwards.
Schools are living entities and the educational project is always changing, the review and expansion of proposals occur with a lot of support:
– We visited more than 20 countries with different educational concepts to develop our pedagogical proposal. We visited schools and educational methods in places such as England, Holland, USA (California), China, Canada, Japan, Estonia, Finland, Argentina, Peru, Italy, Denmark, Russia, Poland, Spain and Germany.
We seek partnerships with experts from different areas to expand our repertoire and to offer students more experiences and learning opportunities.
– We seek innovation in the teaching of traditional subjects such as Mathematics, Portuguese, Humanities, Natural Sciences and English, highlighting STEAM practices.
– We consult with families and work with our teaching team.
– We start from our history.
We named the new bilingual comprehensive education project for Elementary School at Colégio Itatiaia Peak School and proposed the “Learn is Fun” methodology for creating school activities and projects.

Peak School is aware of the importance of teaching fundamental school content in a respectful and humane way.
